Located in Oyamazaki, Kyoto, the museum brings together a historic villa and contemporary additions designed by Tadao Ando.
The photographs focus on how the buildings sit within the garden. Concrete walls and glass surfaces appear between mature trees, while ponds, stone paths and the surrounding greenery connect the old villa with Ando’s additions. The changing shadows of the trees across the concrete are a recurring feature throughout the series.
